Students at Owen Middle School hosted children from Black Mountain Primary (BMP) School May 2-3 to show them the Natural Impact Initiative on campus that illustrates the mutually beneficial relationship between plants and animals. Afterward, students from BMP wrote letters of appreciation to the middle school. Here are some of the letters they sent (some with creative spelling). “Thank you just thank you we had a super, marvelous time at your school. I even made some best friends named Ella and Ms. K. I learned chesnut trees have a diseases called the blight.” “I loved learning about the birds and their beaks.”
